aksdf.sys Windows 10 bluescreen – Here’s how to fix it
When Windows 10 May 2020 update (Windows 10 ver.2004) started rolling out a bluescreen crash occurred when I tried to update.
The error was is caused by a program called AKSDF.sys
What is AKSDF.sys? Its a licensing and DRM system from Sentinel. Now I don’t know which software needs this file, but after uninstalling it no software created issues for me.
how do you uninstall aksdf.sys?
Go to: https://sentinelcustomer.safenet-inc.com/sentineldownloads/
Download the Sentinel HASP LDK - Command Line run-time installer
Extract the zip file which is downloaded
Go into the folder you just extracted with haspdinst.exe
in it
Now, click on the file path and type in cmd, then hit enter. This will enter a command line window in the folder
Now type in command line haspdinst.exe -purge
and hit enter
After some time you should get a window which says Operation succesfully completed
Now try updating to Windows 10 May 2020 update again.
